We all have them. You know, the kind of day where your attitude and/or emotions end up all over the place. Today was a yoyo day for me. It certainly wasn’t the first, and I know it won’t be the last, but it is the first one I’ve had since I started blogging, which is why I’m bringing it up.
For me, the day started out pretty good! I was in a good mood, left the house with a smile on my face, I was a little bit anxious but excited to be teaching a Pound track this evening (you all will hear more about that after Sunday!), I was ready to have a good day. Then a couple of hours into the day, that all went South. No one reason specifically for my change in attitude; it was a morning surrounded by negativity that I tried really hard to not let affect me. As much as I tried to shut it out, it got the best of me. After I got home from work, my mood started to change again in the other direction. I was greeted at the door by unconditional love (Chompers and CJ) and excitement, and I was gearing up for some Pound! Woot! The excitement started to set in, and then the anxiety of getting up in front of all of those people and leading them in a workout routine. Nerves! Go away! They would go away, then they’d come back, then go away again only to return once more. To make a long story short(er), the Pound class went much better than I was expecting and now I’m back to where I was this morning…happy and in a good mood!
So why the heck am I telling you all of this? Because I know that you can relate to the frustration that goes along with what seems a destruction of a positive mood or outlook. No matter how bad or how difficult a day you’re having, just remember and know that it can and will get better! Sometimes you have to actively seek out ways to improve a foul attitude, and sometimes it just happens on its own. No matter what route you take, whatever it takes to return your mood to a positive one is well worth it. Days like this also help to remind me to NOT be that negative influence on someone else’s day. No matter how difficult it may be, it’s all good if you keep a positive attitude!
